As part of our structural engineering seminar, our kind tutors had put together a site visit to the Battersea Power Station today, where we were given a talk about the future of this landmark by the engineers who have been working on this for the past 3 years. It's an incredibly charming building that has been shut for over 20 years now. It will soon be in the centre of a large shopping mall, creative hub, ie exhibition centres, conference halls and residential complexes. Some photos of the interior rooms and exterior.
This is the meter room. Pretty amazing huh!
Outside the facade
The view of the jetty and river. The position of where I am currently standing will soon be a grass park area infront of the power station.
Me in the facinating meter room.
